87th Air Base Wing

The 87th Air Base Wing provides installation management to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, the nation's only tri-service joint base. The wing also provides mission-ready, expeditionary Airmen to support Unified Combatant Commanders in on-going military operations. The wing consists of more than 3,100 officers, enlisted, and civilian personnel from the Air Force, Army and Navy. 

The 87th ABW is committed to providing installation management to support expeditionary operations in a time of persistent conflict. The command is dedicated to providing world class quality of life to our servicemembers and families commensurate with their outstanding service to the nation.

The 87th Mission Support Group supports the global mission of the 87th Air Base Wing by maintaining an expeditionary force posture at home station. In garrison, the group prepares the wing to deploy, beddown, and sustain forward operations. At home station and in deployed locations the group provides facilities, services, logistics management, contracting, force protection, fire protection, crisis action planning and response, communications, passenger and cargo movement, and personnel resource management.

The Joint Base Public Affairs Office provides professional photography and video for Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and mission partners. The PA Office is not funded, equipped or manned to replace services provided by the Document Automation Production Services (DAPS).

JB MDL PA provides official support to installation and wing (or service-equivalent) level units or above.When photographers or photographic equipment resources are not available, the PA office may offer consumer-grade still photographic equipment for self-help.
